The Band

A  treasured,  if  unofficial,  New York City cultural institution,  Drumadics  has been causing waves throughout the New York City subway as a leading underground percussive ensemble. Driven by the raw power of the buckets,  the band’s clever fusion of traditional,  contemporary and unorthodox drum styles with stirring brass accompaniment, delivers a distinct sound that is  captivating audiences in  New York  and  around the world.   The band  is comprised of an ethnically diverse ensemble with varied traditional and contemporary.  

Drumadics  performs  in  a  wide  variety  of  venues  ranging  from  professional  theaters  to alternative spaces,  indoors and outdoors,  with recent performances at B.B. King's,  Lincoln Center Outdoors, Governor’s Island, and Aaron Davis Hall.

Our  diverse repertoire  includes pieces  composed and arranged by  William B. Johnson  as well as live improvisational performances  and is suitable for audiences of all ages.  The band travels as a full company  or smaller ensemble,  presenting shows of varied length or tailored to your specific needs.
